Hazard InsuranceInsurance to protect the homeowner and the lender against physical damage to a property from fire, wind, vandalism, or other hazards.
Heirs and AssignsOne who might inherit or succeed to an interest in a property under the rules of law applicable when a property owner dies.
Holographic WillWill written in the testator's handwriting and not witnessed.
Home Owners InsuranceAn insurance policy that combines liability coverage and hazard insurance.
Homeowner's or Maintenance FeesPayments made by property owner (s) of a condominium or a unit in PUD to the homeowners' association for expenses incurred in upkeep of the common areas.
Homeowner's PolicyPolicy which expands the insurance for a homeowner. It may include theft, liability, earthquake, etc.
Homeowners AssociationAn association of people who own homes in a given area for the purpose of improving or maintaining the quality of the area.
Homeowners WarrantyA type of insurance that covers repairs to specified parts of a house for a specific period of time.
HomesteadTract of land occupied as a family home.
Housing and Urban Development (HUD)The federal government agency that oversees FHA.
Housing RatioThe ratio of the monthly housing payment to total gross monthly income. Also called Payment-to-Income Ratio or Front-End Ratio.
HUD(Department of Housing and Urban Development). A cabinet department responsible for the implementation and administration of government housing and urban development programs.
